We're paying our respects to all the prolific musicians, actors, comedians, and cultural icons who died in 2022. In April, Gilbert Gottfried's family announced that the iconic actor and comedian died at age 67 following a battle with a "long illness." That same month, 1960s pop idol Bobby Rydell died at age 79 from pneumonia, and in March, Tom Parker - singer for British-Irish band The Wanted - died at age 33 from a terminal brain tumor. Prior to that, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins died on March 25 at age 50 while on tour in South America. This year, we also lost Hollywood icon Sidney Poitier, who died at age 94 on Jan. 6. Miss USA 2019 winner Cheslie Kryst, "Bat Out of Hell" rocker Meat Loaf, funk pioneer Betty Davis, and "Full House" comedian Bob Saget also passed this year.
